Man Down Again!

Ok, I know I've been quiet since my last post. I had high hopes of getting Part 3 of my Road to Polish Con posts done, but things got hectic and I didn't get to it quickly. I was able to get a few single color manis done, some with accent colors, some accent colors were just put over a worn polish because school + 3 kids + working kind of got crazy! Ha! Here are some of those manis...

First, London's Fog by Fancy Gloss. I forgot to grab this one a while back, so as soon as I got it, it went on my nails! This is one coat. ONE.

Then, I added Peacock Parade by Tonic Polish because I was itching to use it, but didn't have enough time to sit down and redo my whole mani. Holy shift!

This one I've had for a *long* time, but just decided to play with it for the first time recently. Kinetic Copper by Sally Hansen

I decided to put on Galaxy Quest by Ever After...stun-ning polish. Just gorgeous!!!

THEN, then...this happened. It was a sad day.

Sad nail.

So, I cut them all down. I can't do that significant of a length difference, and I needed to take some length off anyways... *sigh* Silver lining, right?

Meanwhile, I've done the following!

I managed to snag a new bottle of Cloud Wine from Don Deeva, and MAN am I glad for that! It's everything I wanted the first bottle to be and more!

This OPI was one of 4 polishes I got from my niece for Christmas.

I. Love. It.

After the OPI mani, my corners started chipping like crazy. Winter officially took hold of my nails and just...well...they wound up rounded off again...lol

Anyways. Stay tuned for my Road To Polish Con: Part 3! Hopefully I'll be able to get it done this weekend!

Kisses,
Stacy

Bestie Twin Nails - August!

Good morning fellow nail polish lovers!

This month I was paired with the amazing crooked_mani. Click that link to go check out her Instagram page!

We agreed on a picture that I took of one of my oldest daughter's dresses, but decided to replace the green with purple. This was so much fun, that I'll definitely be doing this style/design again in the future!

BTN August: Collage

Here is my solo shot! So.much.fun! I used Bear Pawlish Peek-A-Boo! and Ultra Violet (LOOOOVE), and I used Sally Hansen White On, as well as M Polish Scouting the Beach for the freehand daisies! I'm a wee bit miffed that my quick dry top coat decided it wanted to matte my tips. :-/ Probably thanks to the humidity, fan and open window, so yeah. It's my own fault! LOL!

Push Your Mani August: Flamingos

Hello again! :-)

I fell behind again on the Push Your Mani prompts, but I'm going to do my best to catch up and complete them all!

This weekend I visited my sister (sans kiddos ;-) ), and was able to complete the flamingo prompt between all the toes and fingers of my sister and niece being painted!

In this mani, I used KBShimmer In Bare Form, one of my no name The Color Workshop polishes, Sally Hansen Fucsia Power and Black Out.

Push Your Mani - Flamingos
How are you enjoying all of the summer mani's that have been around? I have been, but man am I ready for some fall preties to come out and play!

Polish on, lovelies :-)

Push Your Mani: August!

Hey there again lovelies! Have you seen PushYourMani on Instagram? If not, go check it out! Each month there is a new set of challenges, and they are usually spaced out about three days at a time. Totally doable! (Don't ask me why I can't seem to complete a full month...haha!)

Anyways, click on that there link, go check it out, and join in on the fun! Here is a copy of this month's challenges!

I've managed to do the first two on time this month, and I'm really hoping to keep up on them all this time around!

The first prompt was "Watermelon". I used Orly Sweet Tart (jelly!) and NYC Pink Champagne for just a little bit of shimmer in the jelly. NYC High Line Green, Sally Hansen Lickety Split Lime and Finger Paints Ball Gown Glamour for the rind, and Sally Hansen Black Out for the seeds. This one was fun! If you go back a while on my Instagram feed, you'll see my first watermelon mani which was part of a mani swap. Fun times!

Prompt 1: Watermelon

The second prompt was "Nimbus". I've done one nimubs mani before this one, so it was fun to revisit! For this one, I used Sinful Colors Starfish as the base. I wanted something a little different from the typical white base color that usually gets used, and I toyed around with trying black, but didn't feel quite that brave. ;-) Anyways, all of the colors are M Polish! I used Guilded, Get Lost, Pish Plashin' Around, Dancing In The Street, and Fresh Perspective. It didn't turn out how I pictured, but it's still pretty!

Prompt 2: Nimbus

Are there any monthly challenges that you follow? What are they?

Thanks for stopping by. Polish on!

Pink and Purple - Tribute Mani

Hello, hello!

This pretty, feminine little ditty comes with some hidden meaning!

In case you haven't heard, there's a little boy named Paul that is currently dealing with CHD (Congenital Heart Disease), and has been in and out of ICU's and hospitals so many times in his short little life. If you would like more information, visit his Facebook page (Pink 4 Paul), the blog cataloging his journey, and the article that was run in "The Emerald". I've done a few #pink4paul manis now, but this one is one of my favorites!

The other half of this mani is done in purple - a specific purple, Sinful Colors Tempest - to show support and love for a special mom and her precious angel baby.

I topped this mani with Zoya Monet for just a little added oomph. I wish I would have brushed it on instead of sponging it on, but I still love it!

This mani was actually featured on the Zoya website, too! See?

Pretty neat! ;-)

March Mani Swap

Oooooh, I love mani swaps! I love looking through someone else's art and choosing something that I love so I can recreate it. And seeing what others choose of mine? Psh, LOVE! Yeah, I'm a mushy, squishy, unicorns and rainbows kind of person. Most of the time. Ha!

Anyways. Back to nails. I've done a handful of these mani swaps in the past, and I'm hoping I'll get around to posting them on my "past mani's" page. Maybe I'll just make one big love fest post and have them all in one place, who knows! The March swap is the focus of this post, so I need to stop with the tangents.

I was paired with @baboo_does_nails this time, and MAN did I love looking through everything she has on IG. I think I picked out about 10 manis that I want to recreate, but I opted for this one because it just screams summer, and I can't wait until warmer open-all-the-doors-and-windows weather!

For this mani, I used L.A. Colors Flicker and Absolute. It's stamped with Sally Hansen White On using my Cici&Sisi plate 05. I love it!

And here is the collage with both of our recreations. She chose my quilted mani, and totally rocked it! Go check her out!

Do you enjoy mani swaps? What's your favorite design to recreate?

See ya next time!
