KTK8 Oil - Product Review

I received these samples in exchange for an honest review.

Hello lovelies! I received these samples from KT♥K8 Oil on Saturday. I've already used them quite a few times, so see what I think of them below!

KT♥K8 Oil in Chocolate Fudge,
Black Raspberry Vanilla, and Warm Chai
First of all...let's talk about the scents! All three of them smell great, and are described as follows:

Chocolate Fudge: "Top notes of sugar and butter; mid notes of milk and chocolate; base notes of walnuts and vanilla." KTK8 Says "Chocolate Fudge is rich and deep. Hints of walnut and vanilla round out the chocolately goodness!"
~~This one is very rich and sweet.

Black Raspberry Vanilla: "Top notes of raspberry and lemon; middle notes of blackberry; base notes of vanilla"
~~I think this one is very well balanced. Fruity, and the vanilla isn't overpowering.

Warm Chai: "Top notes of cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, orange, and eucalyptus; mid notes of nutmeg, anise, and milk; base notes of vanilla, black tea, clove, and licorice." KT♥K8 says: "Did you ever just want to curl up around a wonderful spicy latte? This scent is close..."
~~I. Love. This. One. Love it.

Now, on to the nitty gritty! When I first received these, I was skeptical of the bottles because I'm used to the roller ball bottles. I did have a small leak issue, but nothing major. I've used the click brush pens numerous times, so I knew how those would work. See how tiny that opening is? You can see how it works in the video towards the end of this post.

One thing to note, is that the oils may separate a little bit during shipping like this...

Definitely not a big deal because you can just give them a quick shake and you're good to go!

Like I said at the beginning of this post, I used these multiple times over the first couple of days. Here is one quick "after" photo! They do soak in pretty quickly, but...they have oil in them, so application can be, well, oily. Ha!

Here is a quick video of the products I received. I had to do a few takes so I have a bit extra product already on my hands, hence the extra spreading.

The KT♥K8 Oil Facebook shop will go live tomorrow, January 1st, 2019 at 11:00 AM CST, so go check it out!

Fun With Swatch Sticks!

So, a little bit ago, I was confined to the couch for the day. I decided I might as well take advantage of my limitations to swatch some polish! Most of them are from Polish Con, the Polish Pickup, but there are a few from The Indie Shop and other randoms. Check it out!

All of them together...

And with flash...

Then...I grabbed some more!

I put the swatch sticks on a split ring...

And took an artsy pic!

That was a LOT of swatch sticks...haha!

Do you enjoy swatching?

Thanks for stopping by!

PIC HEAVY...Road To Polish Con - Chicago 2017 Part Three

Hey there again, lovelies! Man, part 3 has taken way longer than I anticipated. Sorry about that!

Anyways...in this third and final post of my Road To Polish Con swatch fest, I have eight more beauties for you. If you missed Parts One and Two, I'll link them at the end of the post.

For the sake of these swatches, assume they are two coats - unless noted otherwise - plus glossy or matte top coat, all are shot in my light box.

Let's get started with week 9!

Up first is Girly Bits Pier-less Beauty. She's a beauty for sure!

Up next is Fair Maiden Pier Magic. Such a rich green!

Next, rounding out week 9, I have Flapper Girl by Bad Bitch Polish. This one is so fun with all the flakies and glitter!

Just look at those flakies! LOVE.

Starting out my week 10 purchases is Blush Lacquers Tip-Toe the Tight Rope. Oh. My. Goodness. This has so much sparkle, so much shimmer, and so much holo! These pictures definitely don't do it justice!

I just had to get another bottle shot of this one. If you look up by the cap, you can see that beautiful pink shimmer. All over the rest of the bottle...holo goodness!

Next, is Pahlish Sweet Home Chicago. This is a cooler toned bubblegum pink color with some great sparkle added in. It's super delicate and pretty!

Last but not least, week 10's NeverMind Penny Dreadful. You know, I was a little unsure about this polish when I first got it. It's just so different from anything that I own! It shifts from red to orange to yellow with a strong pink shimmer, red flakies and holo! That's a lot! But, I put it on...and I love it. Check it out!

Once the macro lens came out, it was all orange and yellow with a hint of red and pink..

Week 11 starts out with Pretty Jelly Lights & Theatrics. This is a great deep orange-red with a holo punch and pink shimmer. I've already used it a couple of times!

I really do love this one matted. There's a pink shimmer in there that just pops right out!

Week 11 is very well rounded out by this absolutely stunning beauty called The Violet of Chi-Town by Lyn B Designs. It's purple (my favorite). It's sparkly. It's got this insane pink shimmer... I just love it!!! I was wishing I had swatched this one last so I could wear it for a few days, but alas. *sigh*

PHEW! That's a lot of polish (heh. Yeah...that's a lot of polish...not next to my collection it's not!). Be sure to check out Part One and Part Two as well if you haven't already!

Did you purchase any Road to Polish Con colors? Which was your favorite?

I hope you enjoyed my swatches, thanks for stopping by!

Man Down Again!

Ok, I know I've been quiet since my last post. I had high hopes of getting Part 3 of my Road to Polish Con posts done, but things got hectic and I didn't get to it quickly. I was able to get a few single color manis done, some with accent colors, some accent colors were just put over a worn polish because school + 3 kids + working kind of got crazy! Ha! Here are some of those manis...

First, London's Fog by Fancy Gloss. I forgot to grab this one a while back, so as soon as I got it, it went on my nails! This is one coat. ONE.

London's Fog by Fancy Gloss

Then, I added Peacock Parade by Tonic Polish because I was itching to use it, but didn't have enough time to sit down and redo my whole mani. Holy shift!

This one I've had for a *long* time, but just decided to play with it for the first time recently. Kinetic Copper by Sally Hansen

I decided to put on Galaxy Quest by Ever After...stun-ning polish. Just gorgeous!!!

THEN, then...this happened. It was a sad day.

Sad nail.

So, I cut them all down. I can't do that significant of a length difference, and I needed to take some length off anyways... *sigh* Silver lining, right?

Meanwhile, I've done the following!

I managed to snag a new bottle of Cloud Wine from Don Deeva, and MAN am I glad for that! It's everything I wanted the first bottle to be and more!

By Don Deeva again.

This OPI was one of 4 polishes I got from my niece for Christmas.

I. Love. It.

OPI Feel the Chemis-Tree. Look at that shimmer!!!

After the OPI mani, my corners started chipping like crazy. Winter officially took hold of my nails and just...well...they wound up rounded off again...lol

Anyways. Stay tuned for my Road To Polish Con: Part 3! Hopefully I'll be able to get it done this weekend!

Kisses,
Stacy
